BAY FISHING

Fishing the bays is interesting, challenging and rewarding. Fishing out of his 23 ft. Explorer powered by a 200 hp. Evinrude motor, we can get to the fishing hole quickly and safely. Doc fishes all the bays in the area so he is always ready to move to the fish! The boat is tournament ready so all needed equipment is aboard (except for wade fishermen). Doc fishes three ways; Wading, drifting, and still fishing.

Still fishing is best for children and fishers with little experience. We will anchor in likely places and put bait on six to eight rods. This method is very productive for redfish, drum and trout. It is sometimes the best method in high winds.


Sometimes it's Not the Size of the Fish - it's the Size of the Smile!

Drift fishing is for anglers with a bit more experience. The boat is located in a likely spot and drift socks are deployed. The boat floats with current and wind. Fishers cast in front of the boat with live bait or artificial lures. There is a lot of casting and reeling involved. This method covers a lot more water in a shorter time. A great technique for catching trout and reds.


Okay, Sometimes it IS the Size of the Fish!

Wading is generally for people who are self-sufficient. Wade fishing is more like hunting. You become one with the water as you stalk reds and trout on the flats and oyster reefs. Doc knows a lot of places to wade with hard bottoms and big fish. My favorite!

No matter how you fish, you will need to bring something to snack on, drinks, sunscreen and a camera to enjoy a great day on the bays. At the end of the day, Doc will clean and bag your fish for the trip home.
